Heaton Park is the biggest park in Manchester and the largest municipal park in Europe.
It has a Grade I listed, 18th-century country house called Heaton Hall, 18-hole golf course with driving range, a boating lake, an animal farm, woodlands, ornamental gardens, an observatory, two playgrounds, a Papal monument and a volunteer-run tram system, restaurant and lakeside tea room combine to make Heaton one of the most popular family days out in the North West.
At Heaton Park we have an exciting events programme from astronomy evenings and children's activities through to large scale dramatic and musical productions. Road Closures - Courtneers and Parklife - Heaton Park 5 - 7 June 2015
Road Closures will be in place on Friday, 5th, Saturday, 6th and Sunday, 7th June 2015 from 20:00 to 01:00 each day.
Main Arterial Routes that will be shut are:
- Middleton Road (between Victoria Avenue and Crumpsall Lane)
- Blackley New Road (between Middleton Road and Mill Brow)
- Meade Hill Road
- Scholes Lane
The areas marked below will become closures as part of the resident permit scheme.
Those residents who live on these roads and area directly affected have received parking permits in order to access the closures.
